Pensando en niños / Thinking in kids

La categoría temática Niños es una de las de mayor potencial en la industria del eBook. Y la interacción del niño con el contenido resulta tan o más interesante como en el soporte papel si se consideran los múltiples beneficios que ofrece el formato digital como la inserción de audio, video, o scripts que permiten la interacción.
Es un verdadero desafío (re)pensar la relación entre el contenido y el lector.
Pensando en este concepto, hace unos días @vmgstudio actualizamos Ver para dibujar. 30 Juguetes en iBooks. Desde ahora, los niños tienen la posibilidad de interactuar con los increíbles dibujos del Ilustrador Ricardo Nuñez no solo mediante la acción de dibujar en 10 pasos sino que al alcanzar el último, también pueden colorear el dibujo seleccionando uno de los 12 colores de una hermosa paleta especialmente seleccionada para colorear el dibujo a gusto. Seleccionan con el dedo un color, y luego seleccionan qué parte del dibujo desean colorear. Tan simple, tan divertido.
Esta posibilidad está disponible únicamente en iBooks store de Apple ya que kindle no soporta javascript y Google PlayBooks a la fecha ofrece un soporte parcial que no permite este nivel de interacción por lo que esta ventaja fue únicamente aplicada en iBooks.

Kids category is one of the categories with more potential in the digital book industry. And interaction of kids with content looks so or even more interesting as in the paper back ones if we consider the multiple benefits that the digital format offers such as audio and video insertion or scripts that allow interaction between the reader (kid) and the content.
It is a true challenge to (re)think the relation between the content and the reader.
Thinking in this concept, @vmgstudio some days ago we updated View to draw. 30 toys. From now, kids have the possibility to interact with the incredible draws from Illustrator Ricardo Nuñez not only by the activity of drawing in 10 steps but also when they reach las step, they can give color the draw buy selecting one of the 12 colors of a beautiful pallette specially chosen to colour the draw as they wish. They tap with the finger to choose a color, and they then tap on the draw. So simple, so much fun.
This feature is only available on Apple’s iBooks store. kindle doesn’t support javascript and Google Play Books offers a partial support that does not allow this level of interaction so this feature was only applied to iBooks readers.
